Due to a Lack of Sign Ups, Path of Paper Lanterns: Temple of Ten Serpents has been withdrawn from Intercon Mid-Atlantic. Game authors are trying to procure a site and date to run the event in the Maryland/DC area in the upcoming months with a hope of lower pricing for participants and a date for more individuals to be involved.

Stay Tuned.

General Information:

Path of Paper Lanterns is a live action role playing game set within a fantastical Asian inspired world. At this time, the game is going to run with a number of theater style day long games that will lay the groundwork for longer weekend length player submitted character adventure games. Some of the plot elements that will be explored in Path of Paper Lanterns are: Supernatural and Mystical Intrigue, Social and Class Interaction, as well as Regional Political and Military Conflict. Many aspects of the game will result in Player vs. Player conflict. The more cast that is available to us, we will be adding in more and more Player vs. Environment adventure plots. Path of Paper Lanterns will be utilizing boffer combat as a combat resolution mechanic.

Note: For people who want to play and DO NOT want to boffer, this is a totally possible option. If you are concerned about boffer for health reasons, talk to the gms, and we will work something out for you.

When and Where:

Path of Paper Lanterns: Rise of the Dragon Empress will be held on Saturday, Saptember 11, 2010. The game will be played at Greenbelt National Park (http://www.nps.gov/gree/). Game set-up and player check-in will take place from 11:00 am-12:00 noon. Game time will be from 12:00 pm- 6:00 pm. Game clean up will be from 6:00 pm- 7:00 pm.

Pricing:

The writers of the game will not be feeding you. There are restrooms and picnic tables available throughout the park. You are encouraged to bring a lunch and any snacks that you would want to eat. Our game site is relatively inexpensive and we've tried to keep costs as nominal as possible. What are you paying for anyways? You are paying for character sheets (writing and printing), cast (costumes, make-up, and weaponry), and future planning (we want to run larger scale games in the future and in order to do that we need to build up some capital).

Cast: Free

Single Player Rate: $10.00

*Pair of People Rate: $15.00

*Yeah, so we wanted to reward people who help recruit their friends to come play with us. If you come play and recruit another person to come play with you, you can sign up as a pair of people and save a couple of bucks! We don't care what kind of a pair of people you are- friends, spouses, heterosexual life partners... whatever... we just care that there is a pair and that each person in the pair claims the other!
